01 — The brief

One app, everything you need

Most people serious about their health juggle three or four apps — one for weight, one for food, one for workouts, maybe another for water. The switching friction adds up, and context gets lost between them. You can't see how yesterday's workout connects to today's weight, or whether your calorie surplus aligns with your weekly goal.

This project started from a simple question: what would it feel like if all of that lived in one place — and the data flowed together automatically?

Goal & mood tracking
Set a target weight and track your mood daily — so you can see how energy, habits, and physical progress connect over time.
Visual meal diary
Colour-coded meal cards with calorie totals, with meal plan suggestions to help you achieve your daily target. Calories are automatically calculated as you log your food intake.
Plan your workout
Record your exercise and the app calculates how many calories your workout burned. No ideas? Browse curated workout suggestions to get started.
Effortless weight recording
Smart scale sync makes weight recording fully automatic. Connect the app to your Xiaomi or Huawei scale — every time you step on it, your weight is recorded in the app.
Overall health diary
Beyond weight and food, log your daily water consumption and mood. A single glance gives you an overview of your fitness activity, weight management progress, and how you've been feeling.
02 — Competitor analysis

What the best apps get right

Before jumping into design, I took time to analyse what similar apps were already offering. These two in particular stood out — both are apps I've personally used, which made them a natural benchmark for my competitor analysis.

MyFitnessPal
Calorie awareness done right
What I like about their app is that I can easily log a meal and immediately see my calorie total update in real time. It creates a powerful feedback loop — the kind that builds genuine nutritional awareness through visibility rather than willpower. Reviewing past logs and spotting patterns in my own intake was genuinely eye-opening.
Apple Health
Holistic health in one place
Sleep scores, step counts, health trend analysis, and wellness articles — all in one place. What stands out is the trend view: it helps you see progress over weeks rather than reacting to daily fluctuations. It showed me what a truly comprehensive health picture could look like.
The gap I found: MyFitnessPal is excellent for food diary but disconnected from overall health analysis. Meanwhile, Apple Health aggregates a wide range of health data but doesn't include food intake, weight management, or mood tracking in one cohesive experience. This made me think there was a genuine opportunity to bring everything into a single super app — one place where people come for everything about their health and fitness, without the constant switching.
03 — Design decisions

The choices that shaped the experience

05 — Impact I believe

If this shipped, here's what would change

This was a concept project — but the design decisions were grounded in real behaviours and genuine gaps in the market. Here's the impact I believe it could drive.

A single super app
People currently switch between separate apps for weight, food, workouts, and water — losing context every time. A unified experience reduces that friction and keeps all health data connected, making it far easier to stay consistent and see the full picture.
More people getting healthier, their way
Workout suggestions tailored to your preference and daily activity — rather than a one-size-fits-all plan — means users are more likely to follow through. A plan that adapts to your life is a plan you actually use.
Stronger awareness of daily food intake
Seeing calorie totals update meal by meal builds genuine nutritional awareness over time — not as a restriction, but as a mirror. When people understand their own patterns, they make better choices without being told to.
This was a concept project. Impact statements reflect design intent and behavioural rationale, not measured outcomes.
